Koha Jonë is a newspaper published in Albania. The paper is a politically unaffiliated daily newspaper based in Tirana.

The paper was first published on 11 May 1991 by Nikolle Lesi and Aleksandër Frangaj in Lezhe and after some time the headquarters were moved to Tirana. Nikolle Lesi and Alexander Frangaj were the director and chief editor of the paper, respectively.

In 1996, Lesi became sole owner of the paper when he bought out Frangaj, who had owned 40 percent of the shares.

In 1997 the premises of Koha Jonë, at the time Albania’s biggest-circulation daily, were completely burnt down by unknown perpetrators. No one was identified or prosecuted by the authorities in connection with those attacks.

Lesi sold the paper in 2007 to his former partner Frangaj, who is also part owner of TV Klan.

Rameswaram HOW TO REACH RAMESHWARAM

The last rites of former President APJ Abdul Kalam will be held in his native town of Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu in keeping with his family's wishes.
President Kalam died last night in Shillong where he had gone to address students at the local Indian Institute of Management; he was 83.
"A large number of relatives, friends, well wishers and common people have gathered at Kalam's house at Rameswaram," APJ M.K. Sheik Saleem, the former President's grandson told IANS over phone.
The temple town of Rameswaram is around 600 km from Chennai.
The central government is yet to inform the state government about when President Kalam's body will be sent to Rameswaram.
Local officials said the administration is expecting thousands of people to assemble for his last rites.

Anurag Kashyap is one angry man today. The reason? Well, he has made a short film (supposed to be for an international market) featuring the bold actor Radhika Apte in which she has exposed her privates. What has angered the director is that, the 'main portion' of the 20 minute long video was leaked on WhatsApp and other social media by some miscreants.

Speaking about the same to a leading daily newspaper, Anurag Kashyap said that, he was a part of a team of six directors who had been commissioned to direct short films, all of which to eventually form a part of one big film that is yet to be released. He said that, his film, which was inspired by a real life story, was with subtitles and was meant for release in the international market only. Despite all the difficulties and the safety measures (to prevent any kind of footage leakage), the most sensitive part of the video made its way to WhatsApp and other social media. He assumes that, this could be the handiwork of some Indian guy at the New York based studio (where he had sent the film).

Anurag Kashyap added that, he had shown the film to many of his friends including Vikramaditya Motwane's mother, who cried as she felt it was so powerful. In the same breath, he added that, with the video going viral, while Radhika Apte felt victimized, he felt responsible (for the same). Wasting no time, he immediately called up the Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria, who in turn, called ACP Prasanna (Crime Branch) who has now put the cybercrime branch to work on it on top priority. They have also written to Facebook and WhatsApp in order to prevent such a thing from spreading its wings again.
